01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Stepping into BASEcafe&bar Ayase, guests are greeted by the aroma of specialty coffee centered on light to medium-dark roasts. From the rotating Today's Coffee to pour-overs calibrated for sweetness and bright acidity, and rich café lattes harmonized with dairy, each preparation showcases bean origin. Coffee beans are also sold by the 100 g for patrons wishing to brew at home.
Sweets to accompany the coffee include scones baked in-house and a spiced carrot cake flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts, and raisins. For a substantial meal, the kitchen prepares a gluten-free spicy dal curry crafted with mixed spices and a pork hayashi rice rich in tomato umami. Both can be enjoyed as part of a drink set from opening until 14:00.
As night falls, the space transitions into an inviting bar where coffee expertise shapes cocktails such as the espresso martini made with vodka, and the carajillo infused with the sweet vanilla notes of Licor 43. The drinks list also features craft gin from Hokkaido's Benizakura Distillery, single malt whiskies, and cold-brew gin and tonics. With counter and table seating, the cafe accommodates anything from a quiet daytime pour to relaxed evening conversations.

From opening until 14:00, a value set with a drink included (1,300 yen) is available. You can pair gluten-free Spicy Dal Curry or flourless Pork Hayashi Rice with specialty coffee and other beverages.
The house specialty coffee beans, ranging from light to medium-dark roasts, can be purchased starting from 100 g.
The bar serves a wide selection including coffee cocktails like espresso martinis, craft gin, single malt whisky, and beer.
